Apache Downs – Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats
Goat Sales Contract

This Contract must be signed and returned to Apache Downs, along with the down payment, within 10 business day of the official purchase agreement date (the date this was signed and mailed to the Buyer, by the Seller).  If this is not returned with payment in 10 days this purchase agreement will become null and void, and Apache Downs will relist the goat for sale, or choose to retain ownership.

The following goat (s) listed below will be reserved for _________________________  for the total sum indicated following after each name.  Deposit required to insure this hold will be 50% of cost for Does / Wethers & 100% for Bucks.

Apache Downs is responsible for, and will :

  1. Feed, house, provide basic maintenance, health care, and worming to the goat until the agreed upon pickup date of ____________ .
  2. Possession of the goat will go to the buyer on the agreed upon date after full payment is made and the transportation accommodations for the goat is acceptable to Apache Downs.
  3. Provide the Buyer with health care records for above goats dated from birth, AGS bill of sale, AGS application for registration, and a copy of Pedigree from both parents.

 

The Buyer is responsible for, and will :

  1. Pay the down payment of 50% on doe/wether & 100% on bucklings  total sale due with the signing and return of this document within 10 days of date highlighted above.
  2. Pick up the goat (s) on _____________
  3. Pay the remaining balance due with cash , cashiers check, or Money order before or at the time of pickup.  Personal check is only accepted if paid 10 days prior to pickup date.
  4. Assume financial responsibility for any actual Veterinary bills for the goat from time of the down payment until pick up (we do most of the vetting..actual vets are used only as a last resort)
  5. Pay for and provide adequate transportation of the goat (goat(s) must be transported in an adequately sized, covered, ventilated, safe enclosure, where they can comfortably and safely stand, turn around, and lay down)
  6. The buyer must inform Apache Downs how the goats will be transported before the pickup date.  If Apache Downs determines that the transportation accommodations are unsatisfactory or unsafe, Apache Downs retains the right to refuse to release the goat(s)
  7. Pay for Veterinary Health Certificate and fees by the vet for farm call and animal exam/tests. (Optional, but may be required by law for interstate travel)

 

Terms & Conditions:

  1. The down payment is non refundable.  If the buyer decides to back out of the purchase, their down payment will not be refunded.
  2. Down Payment is due when the “Buyer” signs and returns this document.
  3. If the goat is not picked up within a week of the agreed upon date stated on this document, the Buyer forfeits the animal as well as the down payment.
  4. Our goats are not sold for meat production. By signing this agreement you agree to not sell or use this goat(s) for meat production / slaughter.
  5. Apache Downs maintains a closed herd.  Our goats are tested annually for CAE, CL, and JOHNE’S and have no known health problems.  Nevertheless, we do not guarantee the goat is CAE free, or free of any other diseases or health problems.  The goat is sold “as is”.  Paperwork to insure we test can be viewed by the buyer at the time of purchase.
  6. If this contract is not returned along with down payment in 10 days of the official purchase agreement, (date signed by Seller), this purchase agreement will  become null and void, and Apache Downs will relist the goat for sale, or choose to retain ownership.
  7. By paying a deposit / down payment, the buyer agrees to, and is bound by, all terms, conditions, and responsibilities laid out in this contract.

 

By signing this contract the buyer agrees that they have read and understand this entire contract and they agree to all the responsibilities terms and conditions laid out herein.
